The Endorsement Logo.

Endorsements are a social function in Overwatch, which allow players to acknowledge other players' good behaviour.

There are currently five endorsement levels. Players can level up once they have received enough endorsements within a certain amount of time, though endorsement levels can decay. Being punished (silenced/suspended/etc.) will cause a player's endorsement level to drop back to 1, regardless of their previous endorsement level.

Endorsements are currently available in Quick Play, Competitive PlayTeam Deathmatch and Lúcioball during the Summer Games event.

DetailsEdit

There are currently three endorsements in which players can give and receive. The current endorsements are as follows:

  • Sportsmanship: This endorsement can be given to both teammates and enemy players. This endorsement is given to players that show a positive attitude throughout or just after the match.
  • Good Teammate: This endorsement can only be given to teammates. This endorsement is given to players that have proven to be helpful throughout the match (e.g. healing/reviving teammates) and/or have communicated effectively with teammates.
  • Shot Caller: This endorsement can only be given to teammates. This endorsement is given to players that have led the team throughout the match and/or have provided a strategy for winning the match.
