Mei's blaster unleashes a concentrated, short-range stream of frost that damages, slows, and ultimately freezes enemies in place. Mei can also use her blaster to shoot icicle-like projectiles at medium range.

Mei's primary fire is a piercing spray of frost that does 45 damage per second, consuming 20 ammo each second. It functions as a rapid fire projectile of frost, which travels at a speed of 20 m/s. The enemies who are hit by Mei's frost stream will gets a slowness effect; the effect increases gradually the longer the enemy is hit by the spray. If the spray stops, the slowness effect will be lifted after 0.5 to 1 second, depending on how much of the effect was already applied. If an enemy takes 30-round continuous hit (1.5 seconds), it will freeze them in place for 1.5 seconds. After that, applying more frost won't keep the frozen effect in place, for the immobile enemy will thaw out after 1.5 second no matter what.

Mei's secondary fire launches an icicle that does 75 damage at maximum, but is subject to harsh damage falloff. This consumes 20 ammo per shot, meaning one clip can fire 10 icicles, and fires at 1.2 shots per second. Unlike Mei's other attacks, this attack can deal headshots.

Trivia Edit

  • Mei's Endothermic Blaster is capable of freezing objects in place for brief periods of time, can quickly create icicles and launch them across relatively long distances, and can form giant blocks of ice almost instantaneously.[1]
  • Mei can freeze Junkrat's RIP-Tire and Torbjorn's turrets as well.
