Doomfist stores four blasts in his left fist and can fire them off quite rapidly. This weapon does not behave like other ranged weapons; it does not reload all shots at once, or even require the use of the reload key/button at all, but rather its ammunition regenerates independently. Because of this, Doomfist can use his other abilities without interrupting his weapon's "reload".
Each round in the "clip" is represented by blue markers just beneath the crosshair, which empty and fill as the weapon is fired and regenerating. Doomfist's left hand also has indicators for each round, and when firing, he turns his hand to a position where the back of his hand is facing upward. The indicators move to their "unloaded" state (slider near wrist) from left to right , and will move to their "loaded" state (slider near knuckes with a red line) from right to left. When all 4 shots are ready, Doomfist will move his hand back to its original position.
By design and by function, the weapon is not meant to be Doomfist's primary source of damage. It has no damage falloff, but the pellet count is small, the spread is not very lenient, and the damage itself only shines in close range and when landing headshots. It serves as a bridge between abilities, or a back-up in case Doomfist's quarry is out of range of his abilities or floating out of vertical reach.
