Cosmetics are items in Overwatch 2 which allow players to customize their heroes and profiles. They do not affect gameplay. Cosmetics are unlocked by earning them in the Battle Pass, unlocking them in Achievements, or buying them with Overwatch Coins, Credits, or Competitive Points. There are over 4000+ cosmetics for Overwatch (2000+ of which were only available during various events).

Hero Gallery - Menu - Overwatch 2

The Heroes tab (formerly known as the Hero Gallery) is where players can customize their heroes, view items they’ve unlocked, and spend Overwatch2 CoinCoins or CreditsCredits.

Inside the Gallery, you can select the hero you'd like to customize, and then see all of the cosmetics available for that hero. Equip an item you want to use from your collection, or click the "Unlock" button to spend credits and unlock it. Changing your profile must be done through the Career Profile > Customization page.

Seasonal Cosmetics[ | ]

At random intervals or during Seasonal Events, the Shop will rotate various skins and other cosmetics. These can be purchased by the player for Overwatch Coins. This is currently the only way to obtain seasonal items, aside from Twitch Drops.
