Upon activation, Doomfist leaps incredibly high into the air, and is for all intents and purposes invulnerable. As he leaves play, the player's camera angle will change, and two circular zones will be projected on the ground, one much smaller than the other. The player can move this area around along the ground while the five seconds pass by, and can even change the camera angle to a bird's-eye view by pressing Alt-Fire. Once the duration is complete or the player presses primary fire, Doomfist will begin a rapid descent directly onto the smaller zone; while descending, players will begin to see the zones - colored red if seen by enemies - warning them of where Doomfist will land. When he does so, he will inflict damage to all enemies within the radius, with linear radial damage falloff - 300 at the epicenter, down to negligable amounts at the very rim of the larger zone.
While movement of the zone itself is limited to ground movement (much faster than normal, but without the ability to jump), the actual ascent and descent do not factor in geometry or any obstacles. Doomfist can bypass ceilings upon leaving the battlefield or reentering it. This essentially means that it is virtually impossible to "hide" from the ability, but there is a short delay between beginning the descent and actually landing, giving players valuable time to potentially escape the worst of the damage.
A player-controlled and enemy Doomfist will shout "Meteor Strike!", while an allied Doomfist will shout "Incoming!".
