An OR14

The OR14 "Idina" line is a type of omnic.

Background[ | ]

OR14s stood twice as tall as a human, and were made out of titanium.[1] In addition to their great strength and superior (by human standards) agility, OR14s were equipped with a pair of arm-mounted cannons, and an energy sword.[2]

History[ | ]

During the Omnic Crisis, the OR14 served as a frontline combatant, and was commonly deployed alongside the Bastion Siege Automaton E54 and ATW-Huntsman.[1] At the end of the war, the OR14 along with many other omnic models were taken out of production. Twenty years after the end of the conflict,[3] the citizens of Numbani developed a more advanced version of the OR14, the OR15, to protect themselves from threats against Numbani and more importantly, Doomfist.[4]

Null Sector used customized OR14's in the King's Row Uprising, and labelled them as "OR14-NS." The Null Sector variant was apparently not equipped with the energy sword, but instead was equipped with a barrier-deploying device.[5]

Trivia[ | ]

The origins of the OR14 are contradicted by various sources. According to Orisa's original hero page, the OR14 was a type of security robot that existed prior to the Omnic Crisis.[3] This account is backed up by her Overwatch 2 hero page.[6] According to Jeff Kaplan however, the OR14 was first created during the Omnic Crisis, specifically designed to fight humanity.[4] This is backed up by Overwatch 2: Sojourn, which states that OR14s had never been seen before the war.
