Symmetra's primary fire will lock a beam onto any target and gradually increases in power while it is locked on. Each second, the power level increases by 1, to a maximum of 3. Each level is displayed on the projector's backside. The beam will deal 4 hits per second: at level 1, the beam deals 7.5 damage per hit (30 damage per second); at level 2, it deals double damage, 15 damage per hit (60 damage per second); and at level 3, it caps at 30 damage per hit (120 damage per second). The power level dissipates to the previous level after 3 seconds of disuse, and again after 1 seconds of disuse. The beam will lock onto the target if they are within 7 meters of Symmetra, and remain locked on as long as the target is within Symmetra's sight and is within 9.5 meters.
Symmettra's secondary fire will charge an energy ball that moves slowly and pierces both enemies and barriers. The amount of time spent charging it will increase its damage and its ammo consumption. The smallest possible ball consumes 4 ammo and deals 25 damage. The largest consumes 20 ammo and deals 125 damage. The primary beam's power level does not affect the damage of the energy ball.
